2008 National Sieger Show, sponsored by the ADRK
WE are very pleased to report that Kruize just got back from his very first Sieger show - the 2008  Canadian
National Sieger Show, which was judged by highly respected judge, Gerard O'shea of Sweden who has been
involved with rottweilers for nearly 30 years. He has been actively involved in training, showing, handling and
judging in many countries. Kruize was not only 'V' rated but took the V-1 rating winning first place in the highly
competitive Sieger class. (all champions by recognized kennel clubs such as CKC/AKC/ or siegers from other
ADRK shows) He then was neck to neck for the Sieger title. (Best in Show Male) It was a very tough competition.

For those who aren't familiar with the differences between a CKC/AKC/ FCI shows  and a German Style Sieger
show - it is a highly competitve show with ADRK (the German Rottweiler Club)
qualified judges making a
thorough evaluation of each and every dog entered both on their conformation/structure, movement and
temperament/Natural Working Drive.  The judges must be those that are completely familiar with the rottweiler
breed and the standard by which they are judged. They themselves are long time rottweiler breeders with a
firsthand knowledge of what is correct.  The judge critiques each dog over a loud speaker for all to hear while
standing then as they are moving. A written critique is then written and given to each exhibitor with their rating.
You are NOT allowed to hard stack your dog, no food or toys of anykind allowed in the ring either, Oh and there
is a LOT of running involved LOL!!

Ratings for youth and adult classes are:
V    (vorzuglich / excellent )
SG  (Sehr gut / very good )
G   (gut/ good)
Ggd   (genugend / adequate )
U   (ungenugend/ unsatisfactory )
Within these ratings they are further broken down to V-1, V-2, V- 3 or SG-1, SG 2 and so forth according to the
judges decision.
Kruize has now been shown under the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club, All breed Judges) AKC (American Kennel
Club, all breed Judges), and ADRK (the German Rottweiler Club) and places at the top consistently no matter
who he shows under. Each clubs standard for the breed is slightly different but no matter what,  they all
recognize his quality. It is especially an honor to have him competing neck to neck for the Sieger title (Best in
Show) under a specialty Judge.

There was a Over 80 Rottweilers entered at the show.

Thanks to all to have supported me, mentored me and believed in us over the years.
